Yesterday many players took advantage of the $250+$30 WPT Super Satellite and the $200+$30 2ND Chance Tournament.
Well-known celebrity players participating in Wednesday's event included Men "the Master" Nguyen and Matt Glantz. Poker elite such as Daniel Negreanu and Jamie Gold will be arriving in time for the WPT Kickoff Party to be held on Thursday, January 25th at Gypsy Bar.
The atmosphere was filled with excitement at the start of the Borgata Winter Open. Vinny Ferraro of Westchester, NY, summed it up well: "Players were ready to burst the moment the cards hit the felt. This is the best tournament on the East Coast, so everyone wants to play here. Borgata is my home away from home."
Building on the success from past tournaments, the Borgata Poker Blog will allow fans to keep up with tournament updates from renowned poker blogger "Iron" Mike Hofeld at www.theborgata.com and www.cityatlantic.com.
