Can Strategy Encourage A Win?

by ReadyBetGo Editor

There are a huge number of statistics around online betting and online gambling that may encourage a player to take a specific approach – with betting it may be the history of a teams wins orReadyBetGo EditorThere are occasions when we here at ReadyBetGo want to bring you interesting facts about the gambling industry  When something catches our eye, we will publish it for your enjoyment.
highest scoring players and for casinos it may be the games which offer the best odds as you can find some other sites offering the biggest online games – but can using a specific strategy whether with betting or gambling help your chances of winning, or is it all a placebo that has been successful for some and not for others?

It’s safe to say that no strategy is 100% fool proof, at the end of the day these are games of chance, and the odds will always adjust accordingly to a huge number of different variables – but there are suggestions that it can at least encourage some more consistency, particularly with the bankroll that’s on hand. One of the more popular strategies is to stick to a certain percentage when placing a wager – professional players have been known to do this in order to minimize short term losses but capitalize on short-term gains and can help prevent players from running out of money – it would encourage the wins but keep play steady.

Other systems have been developed to make the most of losses and wins together, systems like the Martingale calls on players to double bets after every loss in order to always win back losses with a small profit in the process of doing so – whilst this may lead to long term profits, in the short term this can be extremely risky and could make some players less likely to place the big bets needed after a string of losses. This sort of strategy does hold its water with a skilled player taking part in a game of skill, rather than a game of chance, and can be great in that sense.

Similar strategies exist to the above but call for the opposite, cutting a bet in half or lowering the wager following each loss to minimize losses, but still making a small profit whenever a win does come – the same story is true however, it can be very risky in the short term and a string of losses can bring players below the table minimums and leave no room to really start progressing and winning big with such small values.

Over the years there has been a huge amount of research into these different strategies and many others to see what they can really do for a player, and for most it could just be like a pre-wager ritual for good luck or the placebo of doing well – there’s nothing proven to suggest they could encourage a win but giving them a go could have surprising results and lead to wins that may not have come previously.
