The Main Event of the MiniFTOPS will surely attract quite a crowd, as a $55 entry gains access to a $500,000 guaranteed tournament. Full Tilt welcomes players from the USA with open arms and is home to acclaimed pros such as Phil Ivey, Howard Lederer, and Gus Hansen.
Currently unfolding on PokerStars is its first ever Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP). Mac poker players have flooded the site for the tournament series, which features events at three different stakes: low, medium, and high. Its two day-long Main Event kicks off on April 12th and features a $109 buy-in $1 million guaranteed tournament for low-stakes players, a $1,050 buy-in $3 million guaranteed for mid-stakes players, and a massive $10,300 buy-in tournament with at least $5 million up for grabs for high rollers.
The very first SCOOP event was held on April 2nd and attracted one of the largest fields ever for an online poker tournament. Many of the 27,134 players who took to the felts for the $5.50 rebuy contest came armed with Mac poker software. In the end, "Eetu100" emerged victorious from the field, banking $41,000.
