KANSAS -- Wyandotte County is one step closer to getting its own casino after Gov. Kathleen Sebelius today signed into law landmark gambling legislation passed by the Kansas Legislature last month.

Governor Sebelious has signed the new gambling legislation in Kansas. Sebelius signed the bill during an appearance at The Woodlands racetrack in Kansas City, Kan. It’s one of four such stops throughout the state.
The legislation authorizes large casino facilities in Wyandotte County, Dodge City, near Wichita, and in southeast Kansas. It also authorizes slot machines at The Woodlands and two other tracks in the state.
