RENO -- As reported by the Reno Gazette Journal: "A Seattle man who won more than $1 million Sunday morning at a Circus Circus slot machine in Reno said he will use some of it to help a friend

Wheel of Fortune Slots whose houseboat sank.

"After a flight from Seattle, deplaning, Todd Dows and his wife stopped at the casino before heading for Lake Tahoe. After investing $25 in a Wheel of Fortune MegaJackpot dollar machine, he wanted to cash out but his wife urged him to play what he had left.

"He won $1,291,667.

"'Last night, I told my wife that someone would help them rebuild,' he said of his friends. 'Now, we are the ones who are going to be able to help them.'

"The couple also said they wanted to pay off their home and help "a lot of people."

"The jackpot will be paid in annual installments by International Game Technology."
