Phil Gordon's Little Blue Book
by Phil Gordon
Book Picture
Valuable sections include Cash Games AND Tournament Play; Sit and Gos; Satellites and Supersatellites. Nicely illustrated with many lessons, examples and analysis, it’s a balanced, smooth-reading textbook, some of which is based on the author's experience. This balance of common sense, strategies, ploys and an honest appraisal of what was going through his mind when he made his moves adds strength to this powerful, positive pack of lessons. One unique approach is to  'improve at poker is not by finding answers. It is by finding questions,' says champion Chris Ferguson in the foreward. This companion book to Gordon's Little Green Book does just that.

PokerStars qualifiers have already won more than €1,000,000 between them this season and, with 24 events being held over eight days at EPT London (September 28-October 5), qualifiers now have a chance to win hundreds of thousands more.

A total of 125 players have already won their seats to EPT London, including EPT Season 6 Players' Choice Award winner Kevin MacPhee, last year's WCOOP Main Event winner Yevgeniy Timoshenko and EPT Berlin champion and Team PokerStars German Pro Sandra Naujoks.

One of the highlights of this year's EPT London Poker Festival will be the much-anticipated PokerStars Party, which promises to be a truly glamorous affair. It's taking place at the beautiful Club Jalouse in the heart of London's exclusive Mayfair district on Saturday, October 2. A free bar will be available from 9pm to 11.30pm; all EPT London Main Event players and accredited media are invited.

Also taking place during EPT London is the PokerStars.com UK & Ireland Poker Tour's Champion of Champions event, on Tuesday, October 5. This televised invitational tournament at the London Hilton Metropole will see the eight UKIPT Season 1 Main Event winners and the Season 7 EPT London champion battle it out for the 'Champion of Champions' title and a seat to every Season 2 UKIPT Main Event.

Other highlights at this season's Festival are the European 8-Game Championship, three Ladies' events and the £20,000 High Roller. A host of Team PokerStars Pros will be competing in London, including former world champions Chris Moneymaker, Joe Hachem and Greg Raymer. Also there will be Jason Mercier, Barry Greenstein, Dennis Phillips, Vanessa Rousso and Daniel Negreanu, as well as new Team PokerStars Pros Vanessa Selbst and David Williams.

Both PokerStars' World Series of Poker 'November Nine' finalists are taking part: American Jason Senti and Canadian chip leader Jonathan Duhamel. Sports fans can also look forward to seeing England soccer legend Teddy Sheringham, tennis star Boris Becker and popular field hockey Olympic gold medallist Fatima Moreira de Melo. Players who wish to buy full packages, including hotel accommodation, direct from their PokerStars accounts can now do so. Due to popular demand, PokerStars has opened up the EPT London Seat+Hotel package online for ALL players.
