LAS VEGAS -- As reported by Bodog Beat: 2006 WSOP Main Event runner-up, Paul Wasicka, beat out a field of 64 of the best poker players in the world to win the third annual National Heads-Up ChampionshipPaul Wasicka is a mighty talented poker player.

 Shannon Elizabeth came in 150th in the $2,000 No-Limit Hold'em Tournament at the WSOP 2007.

Paul is 25 years old and was born in Dallas, Texas. He now lives in Westminster, Colorado, where he's been playing poker for the last two years.

Wasicka faced Chad Brown at the Final Table and won when he slow played a straight he caught on the flop. Chad Brown only had top pair and earned $250,000 for his efforts.

Wasicka beat out Eli Elezra, Joe Hachem, T.J. Cloutier, Nam Le, Shannon Elizabeth and ultimately Chad Brown to win the title.

One of the favorites starting off in the third NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship may not have been actress Shannon Elizabeth, but she hung tough, making it to the final eight out of an opening feild of 64 players. Elizabeth, who made her breakthrough role in the teen comedy "American Pie", has been described as considering poker as a second career.
