FLORENCE, Oregon -- As reported by the Eugene Register-Guard: “The Three Rivers Casino will be adding 75 more slot machines to its offerings this summer, moving its restaurant to a new

Three Rivers Casino to add more slots structure on the Hatch Tract to make room for them.
“The tribe soon will build a 1,900-square-foot structure that will be similar in style to the existing casino and will house the restaurant.
“‘Anyone who's been to the Three Rivers Casino knows that we are cramped,’ said Bob Garcia, the tribe's economic development director.
“The new slot machines will bring the total to 400, Garcia said.
“The current expansion plans are only temporary; the Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw Indians have bigger plans on the horizon.
“Last month, the tribes announced that they'll build a permanent 70,000-square-foot casino, hotel and administrative building at the back of the 100-acre site and will boost the number of slot machines to 650.
“The tribes also will expand table games at the casino to include blackjack, craps, roulette and a poker room. Plus, they'll build a 10,000-square-foot multipurpose space for bingo, banquets, concerts and meetings; and a 90- to 100-room hotel.
“The groundbreaking for the big expansion is planned for April.”
