Dave Foley Hosts Celebrity Poker Tourney at Hard Rock Casino in Tampa

Dave Foley will be hosting the Vincent Lecavalier Texas Hold'Em Celebrity Poker Tournament 
The Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Tampa  troupe The Kids in the Hall, will serve as emcee at the inaugural Vincent Lecavalier Texas Hold'Em celebrity Poker Tournament on September 7 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa.

Foley, who currently serves as host of Celebrity Poker Showdown on BRAVO, will join Tampa Bay Lightning star Vincent Lecavalier and other top celebrities as they go all-in to benefit the VL4 Foundation. Among the celebrities scheduled to participate are 2004 Card Player Magazine Player of the Year Daniel Negreanu, Vincent’s Lightning teammates Brad Richards, Martin St. Louis and Tim Taylor, NHL Hall-of-Famer Phil Esposito, champion boxer Antonio Tarver and former NBA star Matt Geiger.

While the event will benefit disadvantaged and chronically ill youth in the Tampa Bay area through the VL4 Foundation, there will be a prize pool in excess of $45,000 for the tournament with the winner receiving $10,000. In addition, the celebrities will be competing for a $10,000 donation to the charity of their choice for the “last celebrity standing.” As an added incentive, any player who knocks out a celebrity will earn a “bounty” of autographed memorabilia.

The evening, which is presented by DEX Imaging, gets started at 6 p.m. with a Private VIP/Players Party in the Seminole Ballroom, followed by the Wild Card Party featuring entertainment, a silent auction, a raffle, gaming, cocktails and Hors de Oeuvres for all guests at 7:30 p.m. The tournament gets underway at 8 p.m., with an awards ceremony to follow.

An individual buy-in for the tournament is $500, but don’t worry if you’re not an “ace” player. The tournament offers all “busted” players an unlimited number of re-buy opportunities during the first hour of play for $100 each. VIP All Access passes (including VIP Party, Wild Card Party and a spectator pass for the poker room) are also available for $500 each, and individual guest passes (ballroom only) can be purchased for $250.
