West Virginia Senate Approves Table Games
CHARLESTON, West Virginia – As reported by the West Virginia Intelligencer: "The West Virginia Senate today approved table gambling legislation by a vote of 20 to 13.

Slot players at Charles Town Races & Slots may soon be joined by blackjack and roulette fans. 2718 next goes back to the House, where members must decide whether to approve changes to the legislation added in the state Senate.
"In the version previously passed by the House, 6 percent of the racetracks' gross profits from table gambling would have gone to the prize purse fund at the tracks.
"The Senate dropped this figure to 2 percent, and redirected 4 percent of this money to counties and local municipalities.
"…Gov. Joe Manchin then would have to sign the resulting bill…"
