TeenPatti offers a version of Three-Card Poker. may be viewed at www.WorldSeriesofTeenPatti.com.
The World Series of TeenPatti (WSOT), a Taj Systems brand, features the popular three-card game similar to Poker which has been played by South Asians for generations. Many in the west know it as Three-card Poker, but there is one primary difference -- players play against each other, not the house.
"We have received so many inquiries about this tournament since its announcement that it brings us great pleasure to finally unveil the official website of the World Series of TeenPatti," said Taj Systems President Carl Gessner. "Players can now learn everything about the event, including scheduled activities, winners' payouts, and the beautiful venue chosen to host the event."
According to the site, the first WSOT tournament has been scheduled for May of 2007 at the beautiful Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada. The tournament is expected to host over 1,000 players and a prize pool greater than $1,000,000, making it the largest live TeenPatti or
Three Card Poker tournament in history.
The Buy-in for the Main Event has been set at $1,250, and includes a format similar to the
WSOP. All players begin with an equal number of chips, and the primary objective involves surviving and capturing all the other players' chips during the tourney. Players losing all their chips will be knocked out of the tournament. The top 10% of the field will be awarded a cash prize, with the first place finisher taking home $500,000 and the prestigious title, World Champion of TeenPatti.
