Mariah Carey Brings 'Adventures of Mimi' to MGM Grand

Touring for the first time in more than three years, Mariah Carey brings “The Adventures of Mimi: The Voice, The Hits, The Tour” to the MGM Grand Garden Arena Saturday, Sept. 30. The performance,
Mariah Carey is one of the world's most popular performers.  scheduled to begin at 8 p.m., will take fans on a ride that will become the must-see North American tour event of the year.

Tickets priced at $175, $125, $65 and $19.50, not including applicable service charges or taxes, go on sale Friday, June 2 at 10 a.m. at the MGM Grand Garden Arena box office. Tickets also will be sold at all Las Vegas Ticketmaster locations (Tower Records/WOW!, Smith’s Food and Drug Centers, Robinsons-May stores and Ritmo Latino) and ticket sales are limited to eight (8) per person. Wristband distribution will begin Friday, June 2 at 6 a.m. and end at 9 a.m. A random number will be drawn and a line-up will be in sequential order beginning with the random number selected. Wristband distribution requires a form of personal identification and does not guarantee that a ticket can be purchased.

“The Adventures of Mimi: The Voice, The Hits, The Tour” is shaping up to be a grand celebration for Carey. During her performances Carey will draw on songs, many performed for the first time, produced throughout her 15-year career. In 2005, Carey’s six-time platinum Island Records album, The Emancipation Of Mimi, generated three Grammy awards. The album includes “We Belong Together” and “Don’t Forget About Us,” Carey’s 16th and 17th No. 1 career singles, respectively. The feat tied one of the most enduring chart records in Billboard’s Hot 100 history – Elvis Presley’s 17 No. 1 singles. Carey is currently positioned as the only active recording artist with the potential to surpass the Beatles’ all-time high of 20 No. 1 hits.

The Emancipation Of Mimi was not only the largest-selling album of 2005, but to date has sold more than nine million units. This brings Carey’s career sales to more than 160 million units world­wide. The album also recently passed its one-year anniversary on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

“The Adventures of Mimi: The Voice, The Hits, The Tour,” which stops in 30 cities across the United States and Canada, launches Saturday, Aug. 5 in Miami and ends Tuesday, Oct. 10 in Phoenix. The tour is being produced by LiveNation.
