Airport Hotel and Casino in Puerto Rico Opens

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico -- The award-winning Best Western San Juan Airport
The new Airport Casino in San Juan features VLT's and plenty of table games.  Hotel has announced the opening of its gambling casino and the re-naming of the property to ‘Best Western San Juan Airport Hotel and Casino.’ The 4,642 square foot casino is located on the lobby floor of the hotel and features 180 “VLT” slot machines and table games, including three Blackjack tables, one Roulette board and one three-card poker table. Guests of the casino will enjoy complimentary non-alcoholic beverages and snacks.

An investment of nearly $5 million, the casino project brings the hotel’s renovation totals to more than $13 million in the last three years. The casino design team includes Carlos George, casino consultant, J.R. Grande, architect, Julio Solier, hotel general manager and engineer along with Rebecca Bradshaw, interior design consultant. The new casino will bring more than 65 jobs to the community. Casino operations will be managed by Mr. Carlos George, casino consultant on the project, and Maria Perez will serve as casino manager.
